I finally had a break from work and teaching, and decided to use the time to enter an animation to 11 second club. The July competition was a tough one, and many users couldn’t tell whether one of the voices was male or female (it was an older woman). I had an interesting concept for the audio and decided to go through with it.

I got a 16 out of 201 entries, which isn’t bad for a first try! Having your work judged by artists from all over the world was a great learning experience. As it turned out, my mustache tattoo idea really didn’t translate with south asian members. Next time, I will go with a more universal idea.

I need to get out of Brooklyn more often! :-{D
